We are looking for working professionals, employers, and community leaders who are willing to spend one hour with young people who are building their futures.
Our participants are young people between the ages of 14 and 25 who are in the middle of figuring out what comes next. Some are inside Washington State Juvenile Rehabilitation facilities. Others are community members navigating real barriers — disabilities, limited work history, housing instability, or systems that have not always worked in their favor. What they have in common is this — they are showing up. They are building career plans, practicing professional skills, and preparing for the working world. They are looking for real information from real people.
When you walk into one of these sessions — even virtually — you bring proof that a career is possible. That is not a small thing.
Many of the young people in our programs have never had a conversation with a working professional about what their job is actually like. They have not had a mentor in their field of interest. They have not seen someone who looks like them or comes from where they come from doing work they care about.
Your one hour fills that gap.
Research on career development shows that young people who have exposure to working professionals are significantly more likely to set career goals, pursue education and training, and follow through on their plans. Not because they were lectured. Because someone showed up and treated them like their future was real.
That is what you are doing when you come into one of our sessions.
What We Ask of You Not much. Here is the full list: One hour of your time A willingness to be honest about your path — including the hard parts An open mind about who these young people are and what they are capable of Patience with questions — they will come, sometimes slowly That is it. You do not need to prepare a speech. You do not need to be a public speaker. You do not need to have a perfect story. The most powerful thing you can bring is the truth about how you got to where you are. If you have a PowerPoint, photos of your work, or anything visual that shows what your job looks like day to day — bring it. Visuals spark questions and help participants connect your world to their own possibilities. But it is not required. A Career Coach will be on every call. They will handle introductions, keep the conversation moving, and make sure you are supported the whole time.
Use the form below to select a session type, your industry, and a day and time that works for you.
A Career Coach will confirm your session, send your Zoom link, and share a short list of questions to reply to so we can introduce you to participants before you arrive.
We will send everything you need — Zoom link, session details, and a few tips to make the most of your hour.
The Career Coach handles everything else. You just talk.
After every session, participants complete a reflection and write a note of appreciation. We will make sure you receive it.
These young people are ready for you. They have been preparing questions, building their professional skills, and waiting for someone from the real working world to walk through the door. That someone is you. Book your session below. It takes less than five minutes. And it will matter far longer than that.
