Kendra J. Moore is an accomplished Program Manager with a passion for improving outcomes for disadvantaged populations. With over five years of progressive experience in the human services field, Kendra is an expert in workforce development and reentry programs for justice-involved youth. She possesses a two-year degree in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, while also continuing her education in law, government, and public policy.
Kendra has played a critical role in the design and implementation of successful programs at the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, where she serves as a Strategy Officer for Justice Involved Populations. She manages strategic investments and partnerships that connect employers with people who have the right skills and talent they need to grow and sustain their business, with a specific focus on justice-involved populations. Kendra also serves as a special research advisor on the community reinvestment plan with the Department of Commerce. In this role, she works to address the economic, social, and racial disparities caused by the war on drugs.
Furthermore, Kendra is a trainer for the National Training and Technical Assistance Center, which specializes in ensuring that all families get the help they need to thrive. She is an energetic individual with initiative, imagination, strong organizational, strategic, and interpersonal skills, and has experience working with community residents, businesses, and state professionals. Kendra's passion for assisting families, youth, and young adults with positive changes within their communities drives her work. She is a versatile leader who excels in dynamic, demanding environments and has the ability to develop and maintain a positive workplace while motivating teams to continuously strive for improvements.
In addition to her professional experience, Kendra is highly educated and certified in various areas, including Mental Health First Aid, De-escalation Training, Performance Optimization Team Building, Quality Control & Improvement, Critical Issue Resolution, Dealing with Resistive Youth (DWRY) Training, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Training, and Integrated Treatment Assessment (ITA). She is also an active community volunteer and member of several committees, such as the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council BIPOC Committee, The Black Collective-Tacoma Collective Member, Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force Outreach, and the Washington State Partnership Council on Juvenile Justice Behavioral Health Committee & Re-Entry.
